Educational Support Officer

Impact Community ACADEMY is a new, special assistance school opening for students in Term 2 2025. The Impact Community ACADEMY delivers learning through a wellbeing lens, providing learning that has the potential to challenge mindsets, encourage growth and transform lives in a way that allows young people to be more adaptable and resilient as they enter adulthood. About the roles

Impact Community ACADEMY is seeking 2 experienced Educational Support Officers to join our small team. These part-time roles from 8.30 am - 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday during term weeks, are crucial in supporting our student's engagement in learning in line with their Individual Educational Plans.  Impact Community ACADEMY is opening with Year 11 students on April 22 2025, with 2 classes with a maximum of 18 students each.

What you'll be doing

• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students, both inside and outside the learning spaces
• Assisting teachers with the supervision of students 
• Maintaining records of students' progress, supports and achievements 
• Recognising and responding if students exhibit disengagement and/or dysregulated presentation 
• Providing classroom administrative support 

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Education Support or above 
• Enthusiasm and passion for assisting students with positive school engagement
• Clear adherence to school policies and procedures
• Understanding of trauma informed practices
• Queensland Drivers' license
• Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
