As Managing Director of IMPACT Community Services (IMPACT), I am incredibly proud to introduce you to Impact Community ACADEMY, our Special Assistance School. For over 45 years, IMPACT has been dedicated to supporting the people of Bundaberg, and now we are excited to further extend this commitment with a focus on wellbeing as the foundation for success.
The inception of Impact Community ACADEMY began with a profound idea: to create an educational environment where young people’s wellbeing is central, enabling them to thrive, connect, and prepare for the future with confidence and resilience. Through our programs at IMPACT Community Services, we observed increasing challenges faced by young people in our community. Conversations with local stakeholders revealed that 1 in 3 local kids is at risk of disengaging from education. We saw bright, talented individuals who needed a more supportive, tailored approach to learning - one that recognised their unique needs and potential and provided opportunities to better equip them for future challenges and successes.
At Impact Community ACADEMY, we believe every young person deserves a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where they can flourish academically, emotionally, and socially. Our focus on wellbeing ensures that each student's unique needs are met, empowering them to overcome challenges and thrive. This school represents more than just an educational opportunity; it's a beacon of hope and positive change for our entire community. We have worked closely with local stakeholders to create a place where students at risk of disengaging from education can rediscover their potential.
We are eagerly working towards opening The Impact ACADEMY's doors for Term 1, 2025 for Years 11 and 12 students. We invite you to join us in this exciting journey and share in our vision of a brighter future for Bundaberg's young people.
Together, we can have a real impact.
